  • Questions?
Q : I constantly hear about how the Progress City model on display in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom is only a mere fraction of the original 6,900 square-foot model that was shown at the Disneyland Carousel of Progress. So what happened to the rest of the model? Are any former parts currently held somewhere?
Zachary, Boca Raton, Florida
A: As far as we know, the missing elements were not retained.
Q : I was wondering, beside the Magic Kingdom in Florida, if any other Disney parks around the world have a Utilidor system?
Jesse, Port Charlotte, Florida
A: There is no other elaborate Utilidor system, though there are a few short tunnels in other Disney parks.
Q : I was listening to the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters song that they play at the ride, and it sort of sounds like “Strange Things” by Randy Newman. Is it supposed to be like that?
Kobe, Delaware, Ohio
A: The theme to “Strange Things” plays in several of the Buzz Lightyear attractions; the song was introduced in the original Toy Story film.
Q : My husband has approximately 100 photos that were taken in 1969 at Walt Disney World while the park was being built. We would like to know the appropriate person/place to donate these photos. He also has many stories to tell.
Tina, St. Pete Beach, Florida
A: You can contact the Walt Disney Archives at Disney.archives@disney.com.
Q : Has the Disney Company ever thought of making an Audio-Animatronics® figure of Walt Disney?
Avi, Irvine, California
A: The suggestion has been made many times, but nothing has come of it. Some speculated that the Disney family might not approve of an Audio-Animatronics® figure of Walt.
