Q: I am the Director of Education at the US Navy's Submarine Force Library and Museum in Groton, Connecticut. I was wondering if you still had all the various logos/emblems that Disney created for various submarines during World War II and afterwards. If so, is there any way that I could get copies or scans of those that I could use with kids in World War II history programs here at the museum?

A: Disney designed over 1,200 insignias for various military units (including submarines) during World War II. One book which pictures many of them is Donald Dons Dogtags (1992); perhaps you will be able to find a copy. There have not been any books that have published illustrations of all of the Disney-designed insignias.
