Taliaferro, Al

Taliaferro, Al (1905-1969) Comic strip artist; joined Disney in 1931 as an assistant to Floyd Gottfredson on the Mickey Mouse comic strip, and then worked on the Silly Symphonies Sunday comic page. He originated the Donald Duck daily strip in February 1938, and the Sunday page in December 1939, and continued with these two for three decades. He was named a Disney Legend posthumously in 2003.
