Sancho, the Homing Steer (television) Two-part television show; aired on January 21 and 28, 1962. Directed by Tom McGowan. The two episodes were titled Sancho on the Rancho . . . and Elsewhere and The Perils of a Homesick Steer. A pet steer, Sancho, is awkward to keep when it is full grown at the rancho, and he almost ruins a cattle drive. Sancho heads off toward home by himself, a journey of 1,200 miles, finding many obstacles along the way. Stars Bill Shurley, Rosita Fernandez, Arthur Curtis.
