Goof Troop (television) Animated television series; premiered on April 20, 1992, on The Disney Channel. Syndicated beginning September 7, 1992, and ending August 30, 1996, and shown on ABC beginning September 12, 1992, and ending September 11, 1993. There was a two-hour syndicated television special which aired on September 6, 1992, previewing the series with an episode entitled Forever Goof, and including a Goof Troop music video and an edited version of The Goofy Success Story. The Goof, a single-parent family man, struggles to raise his son in suburbia. His son, Max, however, wants to be different than his old man—in other words, cool. The results are misunderstandings and misadventures, complicated by their next door neighbor Pete. He’s a snarling used car salesman with a big ego and temper to match. Voices include Bill Farmer (Goofy), Dana Hill (Max), Jim Cummings (Pete), April Winchell (Peg), Nancy Cartwright (Pistol), Rob Paulsen (P.J.), Frank Welker (Waffles/Chainsaw). 78 episodes.
