Carolwood Pacific Railroad Walt Disney’s love for trains led him to create this 1/8 scale model railroad in his own backyard in Holmby Hills in the early 1950s. It was named for the street on which the house was located. To keep things official, he even had his wife sign over to him a right-of-way through her flower gardens. The Carolwood Pacific later inspired Disney to include a railroad system in his plans for Disneyland.
