Carolwood Pacific Historical Society

Carolwood Pacific Historical Society Michael Broggie, son of Roger Broggie who helped Walt build his scale model railroad, and his wife formed the Society to perpetuate Walt’s love of trains. After Lillian Disney died, the Society arranged with the Los Angeles Live Steamers for Walt’s barn, from which he operated his train, to be moved to Griffith Park where it opened in 1999. An exhibit was placed inside the barn, and later additions to the collection included Ollie Johnston’s scale model train station and the combine car from the original Santa Fe and Disneyland Railroad.
