Adventures of Mickey Mouse, The The very first hardback Disney book, published by David McKay in 1931. The story names a number of the barnyard animals, among them Donald Duck. The character of Donald Duck was not actually created until three years later. The book was preceded only by the slim, paper covered Mickey Mouse Book, published by Bibo-Lang in 1930.
