American Crime (television) TV drama series on ABC, debuting on March 5, 2015 and ending on Apr. 20, 2017. Following the murder of Matt Skokie, a war vet, and an assault on his wife Gwen, four suspects are brought into custody—Tony Gutiérrez, an impressionable teen who got in way over his head, Hector Tontz, a young man who has lived life on the fringes of society and has made bad decisions just to survive, and Carter Nix and Aubry Taylor, two incredible lost souls whose addiction to drugs and to one another has become destructive and paralyzing. The suspects’ situations are far more complicated than anyone would have initially believed, and even the victim may have been far from an innocent bystander in his own murder. Earl Brown (Tom Carlin), Richard Cabral (Hector Tontz), Caitlin Gerard (Aubry Taylor), Benito Martinez (Alonzo Gutiérrez), Penelope Ann Miller (Eve Carlin), Elvis Nolasco (Carter Nik), Johnny Ortiz (Tony Gutiérrez), Regina King (Aliyah Shadeed).
