Comin’ at ya on this day in 1953 was the Donald Duck cartoon short Working For Peanuts, filmed in 3D! In this short, Donald is a zookeeper who encounters the rambunctious Chip and Dale, who have discovered that hanging out by the elephant exhibit is a surefire way to steal peanuts. Working For Peanuts had a multi-dimensional life after its initial release. In 1956, it became part of 3D Jamboree at the Mickey Mouse Club Theater in Disneyland, introduced by 3D Mouseketeers, and it also accompanied the 3D film Magic Journeys when that film moved from Epcot to the Fantasyland Theater in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
