T’was The Nightmare Before Christmas that debuted on this day,
and proved through the years it was now here to stay.
Morbid and funny, it did entertain,
as it unraveled tales out of Tim Burton’s brain.
Casting a spell, perhaps with a potion,
it enchanted the crowd with the art of stop motion.
When back in ’01 out at Disneyland Park,
it appeared in a ride for Guests to embark.
A classic attraction received an expansion,
when Nightmare took over the ol’ Haunted Mansion.
Each holiday time it’s sure to appear,
then the classic ride’s back at the start of the year.
In theaters again in the year of ’06,
it now was enhanced with cool 3-D tricks.
So remember this day when the film first took flight.
Happy thirteenth to all, and to all a good fright!
