Tru Confessions (television) A Disney Channel Original Movie, premiering on April 5, 2002. High school freshman Trudy “Tru” Walker aspires to have her own television show, and, to enter a cable television contest that awards a television hosting job, she produces a documentary about her twin brother, Eddie, a boy with a developmental disability. The filmmaking process becomes a perfect outlet for Tru to express herself and discover a greater appreciation for Eddie.
