Thirteenth Year, The (television) A Disney Channel Original Movie, debuting on May 15, 1999. A young boy, Cody, begins to experience an unusual phenomenon as he approaches his 13th birthday. He gets scales and fins, begins to breathe underwater, and communicates with fish. Cody soon discovers the real reason for the unusual changes—he is the child of a mermaid and is transforming into a “merboy.” Directed by Duwayne Dunham.
