Skyway to Tomorrowland Fantasyland attraction at Disneyland; opened on June 23, 1956. There were 44 gondolas on the cable, passing through the Matterhorn on the way to Tomorrowland. It was the first ride of its kind to be built in the United States. The attraction closed on November 10, 1994. Also a Fantasyland attraction in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World; opened on October 1, 1971, and closed on November 9, 1999. Also in Fantasyland at Tokyo Disneyland; opened on April 15, 1983, and closed November 3, 1998.
