Safari Village Island in the midst of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, dominated by the majestic Tree of Life, from where bridges provide access to The Oasis, Camp Minnie-Mickey, Africa, Asia, and DinoLand U.S.A. The name was changed to Discovery Island in December 2000. The island also features dining (Pizzafari and Flame Tree Barbecue) and shopping (Creature Comforts, Disney Outfitters, and Island Mercantile) opportunities.
