Richard F. Irvine Riverboat Liberty Square attraction in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World; opening May 20, 1973. Dick Irvine was one of the early Disney designers and one of the first executives of WED Enterprises. The boat is an authentic steamboat, in which the steam helps turn the huge paddle wheel. The riverboat was renamed the Liberty Belle after a rehab in 1996.
