Stars Tom Hanks (Geppetto), Cynthia Erivo (Blue Fairy), Luke Evans (Coachman), Kyanne Lamaya (Fabiana), Giuseppe Battiston (Stromboli), Lewin Lloyd (Lampwick), with the voices of Benjamin Evan Ainsworth (Pinocchio), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Jiminy Cricket), Keegan-Michael Key (Honest John), Lorraine Bracco (Sofia the Seagull), Jaquita Ta’le (Sabina). 105 min. The film retains many of Leigh Harline and Ned Washington’s songs from the original animated film, with Alan Silvestri (who composed the new background score) and Glen Ballard contributing new ones, including “When He Was Here with Me,” “Pinocchio Pinocchio,” and “I Will Always Dance.” Filmed in wide-screen format at Cardington Studios in Bedford, England, in a converted hanger where giant zeppelin airships were once built.
