Johnson, James A. (1917-1976) He joined Disney in 1938, became assistant secretary of the corporation in 1947, and was named secretary in 1950. He worked with Disney publications from 1950 to 1962, and became general manager (and later president) of the Walt Disney Music Company in 1958. He retired in 1975, and was named a Disney Legend in 2006.
