Hollywood Pictures Division of The Walt Disney Company that produces fare which is of more adult interest than the usual Disney film. It began operations on February 1, 1989; its first release was Arachnophobia (1990). The division was originally headed by Ricardo Mestres, and he was succeeded by Michael Lynton.
