Hand, Dave

Hand, Dave (1900-1986) Animator/director; joined Disney in 1930 where he began as an animator on the short cartoons for three years before becoming a director. He is credited with directing 70 shorts and three features, including Building a Building, The Mad Doctor, Old King Cole, Flowers and Trees, The Flying Mouse, Who Killed Cock Robin?, Three Orphan Kittens, Thru the Mirror, Alpine Climbers, Little Hiawatha, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Bambi, and Victory Through Air Power. Hand left Disney in 1944 to set up an animation studio in England. He was named a Disney Legend posthumously in 1994.
