Genius (television) A Disney Channel Original Movie; premiered on August 21, 1999. Charlie, a supersmart 13-year-old, ends up feeling a little out of place when he chooses to attend Northern University to study physics under his favorite professor, Dr. Krickstein. Charlie finds it difficult to fit in until he creates an alter ego, “Chaz, ” a “cool kid, ” and simultaneously attends a local junior high so he can be near the girl of his dreams. At first he is able to juggle his double life, but it isn’t long before both worlds collide. Directed by Rod Daniel.
