Fire Station On Town Square at Disneyland from opening day. A fire wagon and other firefighting memorabilia are displayed. Walt Disney had a small apartment upstairs where he could relax and entertain friends and family members while on visits to the park. It consisted of a large sitting room, with built-in sofas that could be pulled out as beds, a small dressing room, and a bathroom. Many of the furnishings were antiques that had been personally selected by Mrs. Disney. An alcove contained a small sink and a refrigerator. At one time the fire pole from the fire station extended on up into the apartment, but it was blocked off after someone climbed up the pole into the apartment. The apartment has been maintained up to the present, and is occasionally used by Disney executives. There are also fire stations on Town Square in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World and at Disneyland Paris.
