Ferguson, Norm (1902-1957) Animator and director; started at Disney in 1929 and remained until 1953. He animated on dozens of short cartoons and served as a directing animator on most Disney features from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Peter Pan. He was responsible for the witch in Snow White and the Fox and Cat in Pinocchio, and was known for his animation of Pluto. He died in 1957. ASIFA, the animated film society, presented him posthumously the Winsor McCay award, their highest honor, in 1987. He was named a Disney Legend in 1999.
