Fantasyland Theater Theater at Disneyland that showed Disney cartoons, formerly Mickey Mouse Club Theater (1955-64); closed December 20, 1981, so that Pinocchio’s Daring Journey could be built in its place. During the opening-day television show, the Mouseketeers streamed out of the theater at one point and were introduced to the television audience for the first time. This was several months before the Mickey Mouse Club television show went on the air. One fondly remembered highlight at the theater was the 3D Jamboree, which played there beginning in June 1956 for several years. Besides two 3-D cartoons, it included specially filmed 3-D footage of the Mouseketeers. The name Fantasyland Theater was reused beginning June 23, 1995, for the former Videopolis.
