Crest Theatre

Crest Theatre  Theater in Westwood Village near UCLA that had a relationship to run Disney films from 1987 to 2002. Pacific Theaters, which had bought the theater in 1985, partnered with Disney. Disney hired noted theater designer Joe Musil to create a design and work with Disney Imagineers to totally refurbish the theater. The first phase of the renovations consisted of adding a new marquee and upgrading the projection and sound system and screen, leading up to an opening of Three Men and a Baby in 1987. The second phase made the theater look Art Deco, with a lobby, auditorium, and restroom rehab, new carpet, and recovered seats. The renovations were completed in time for Big Business to open in 1988.
