The coming-of-age adventure story of Caleb Channing, who was raised on a lunar mining colony and is about to be permanently relocated to another faraway, more desirable planet following the death of his father. But before leaving, to fulfill his dad’s last wish, he and his three best friends, Dylan, Borney, and Marcus, plus a new arrival from Earth, Addison, hijack a rover for one last adventure on a journey to explore a mysterious crater. Filmmakers put the actors through “moon camp” two weeks prior to the start of principal photography; this included the use of harnesses and wires to help simulate one-sixth gravity. The lunar rover was built in two pieces which, when put together, weighed 17,000 pounds. Filmed primarily at Celtic Studios in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, and in Iceland.
