Bluegrass Special, The (television) Television show, aired on May 22, 1977. Directed by Andrew V. McLaglen. The story of Woodhill, an unruly racehorse, who catches the eye of Penny, a girl who wants to be a jockey. Penny uses kindness rather than the whip to train Woodhill and eventually prove that she and her horse are worthy to race in the Bluegrass Special.
