Bear Country The seventh “land” at Disneyland, themed after rustic forest areas of the Northwest, opened in 1972 to house the Country Bear Jamboree which had premiered at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World the year before; became Critter Country in 1988 during the construction of Splash Mountain.
