Walt Disney Archives Founded on June 22, 1970, with Dave Smith as the archivist, to collect, preserve, and make available for use the various historical materials of The Walt Disney Company. While the Archives works primarily with departments of The Walt Disney Company, it also handles mail, e-mail, and telephone inquiries relating to Disney history.
