McDonald’s For many years, Disney has partnered with McDonald’s restaurants in marketing its movies. On January 8, 1998, the first McDonald’s restaurant opened at a Disney park, at the Downtown Disney Marketplace at Walt Disney World, following the introduction of kiosks selling McDonald’s french fries in the Magic Kingdom Park and at Disneyland Park the previous year.
