D23 Members are invited to celebrate this milestone like royalty with the “D23 Genovian Pop-Up Experience,” an immersive, themed, photo opportunity-filled walkthrough of The Doheny Mansion—the actual filming location of the Genovian Consulate in The Princess Diaries!
Take photos where some of the most iconic scenes from the film took place, from the parlor where Mia first met Queen Clarisse and the dining room where Mia experienced her first royal dinner, to the ornate rooms where princess lessons were held and the iconic ballroom where Mia accepted her role of Princess of Genovia.
Throughout the mansion’s room, you’ll find many of the furnishings and decor seen in the film, along with dazzling tiaras, jewels, costumes, and props—from both The Princess Diaries films—from the Walt Disney Archives. We invite you to join us for the very first event to take place at The Doheny Mansion filming location actually themed to The Princess Diaries!

*Age Restriction: Please note that in accordance with their tour policy, and due to the historic nature of The Doheny Mansion, all attendees must be ages 12 and up.
*Please also note that due to the historic nature of The Doheny Mansion and the antique furnishings, no flash photography or photography lighting will be allowed.
All event tickets include:
- An immersive, photo opportunity-filled walkthrough experience themed to The Princess Diaries at The Doheny Mansion (the filming location of the Genovian Consulate)
- You’ll begin with the opportunity to snap a photo in front of The Doheny Mansion (just be sure to not step on the grass!)
- Inside the mansion, take your photos in rooms filled with many of the same historic furnishings as seen in the film, along with several Walt Disney Archives displays of dazzling costumes, tiaras, and props from both films!
- Then, end your walkthrough in the iconic ballroom—the very location where “miracles happened” in The Princess Diaries (2001)
- A themed junk journaling kit that includes a soft-covered journal inspired by Mia’s diary, themed sticker sheets, and die cut stickers
- An event credential
ITINERARY
To optimize your photo-taking experience, small groups will be allowed into the mansion in one-hour increments.
- Check-in will begin 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. Please do not arrive more than 30 minutes before your check-in time; you will be turned away.
- Parking is limited; please plan on carpooling or utilizing ride-share to arrive to the event. Directions for parking will be delivered in your ticket confirmation email.
- Time inside the mansion will last for one (1) hour after the start of your ticketed entry time.
- Please note: Due to the historic nature of The Doheny Mansion and the antique furnishings, no flash photography or photography lighting will be allowed.
- Upon exiting the mansion, at the conclusion of your event ticketed time, you will receive your themed junk journaling kit!

About The Doheny Mansion
The Doheny Mansion features the grandeur of early Los Angeles and is located on the downtown campus of Mount Saint Mary's University at 10 Chester Place. Chester Place was an exclusive gated community of Victorian mansions in the early 1900s and home to oil baron Edward L. Doheny and his wife Carrie Estelle Doheny for almost 60 years.

Ticketing Terms and Conditions:
- D23 Gold and General Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and up to three (3) guest(s) for this event.
- Each attendee, including the D23 Member and their guest(s), must possess a valid, individual event ticket to be admitted.
- Ticket quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- To reserve tickets, D23 Members must log in using their valid D23 Member account credentials and assign a legal first and last name for each guest’s ticket.
- Tickets are non-transferable and must be used by the individual(s) named at the time of purchase. D23 Members and each of their guests over the age of 18 may be required to show a valid government-issued ID matching the name on their ticket.
Age Requirements:
- All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must also possess a valid event ticket.
- Children must be 12 years of age and older in order to attend, due to the historic nature of The Doheny Mansion.
Entry Requirements:
- All D23 Members must present a valid D23 Membership card (physical or digital via the D23 App) along with a valid event ticket at check-in.
- D23 Members and each of their guests over the age of 18 may be required to show a valid government-issued ID matching the name on their ticket.
- Failure to present a valid membership card, a corresponding ticket, and a valid government-issued ID matching the name on their ticket may result in denial of admission without refund or further obligation by D23.
Event Conduct and Restrictions:
- Please note: Due to the historic nature of The Doheny Mansion and the antique furnishings, no flash photography or photography lighting will be allowed.
- D23 reserves the right to deny admission or remove any individual who fails to comply with event rules, disrupts the event, or violates the terms and conditions of participation.
- To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, all D23 Members and guests attending this D23 event are expected to adhere to the stated Disney rules (as applicable, and, including without limitation, with respect to Guest Courtesy Policies) found here.
Any ticketed Members or their guests who do not personally attend the event, forfeit their place, as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the event. D23 Members must be present or guests will not gain admittance to the event.
All D23 events are subject to change without notice. All ticket sales are final. There are strictly no cancellations or refunds regardless of reason (including, without limitation, due to illness, change in travel plans, etc.) and tickets are not transferable.
