This is the Way: First Look at Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu

Fan-favorite duo the Mandalorian and Grogu embark on their most thrilling mission yet in Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, an all-new Star Wars adventure opening exclusively in theaters on May 22, 2026. If you haven’t already seen it—or require a 16th viewing, like some folks ’round here (guilty as charged!)—take a gander at the teaser trailer, below:

In Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, the evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.

Along with this week’s release of the teaser came the film’s cool, throwback-style poster:

The poster for Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, itself in the style of posters for film serials of the 1940s and ’50s. The title of the film can be seen at center; above the title are images of Din Djarin and Grogu, and below the title, to the left, is an image of co-star Sigourney Weaver. Around the perimeter of the poster are other images of ships, vehicles, and recognizable aliens from the Star Wars world, including a creature that resembles Jabba the Hutt.

Directed by Disney Legend Jon Favreau, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu also stars Sigourney Weaver and is produced by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce, with music composed by Ludwig Göransson.
