The live-action short film Yellowstone Cubs was publicized as “Tuffy and Tubby… the pranksters that turn a 2 million acre playground into pandemonium.” The playground is Yellowstone National Park, and the pranksters are a couple of mischievous little bears whose mother finds that trouble starts “bruin” when her offspring have turned up missing. The film was narrated by singing cowboy and Disney Legend Rex Allen, who is sure to sound familiar to longtime Disney fans. He’s heard in numerous Disney films such as The Incredible Journey and The Legend of Lobo. Allen also voiced the father who found progress around every turn in the World’s Fair and Disneyland attraction versions of General Electric’s Carousel of Progress. At the introduction of each act of the Audio-Animatronics® figures, it is Allen that broke into song with the promise that “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow.”
