Guests at the Disney-MGM Studios (now known as Disney’s Hollywood Studios) in Walt Disney World got to experience what it is like to be part of The Little Mermaid‘s world, starting this day in 1992, with the opening of Voyage of the Little Mermaid. The scheduled 15-minute musical show recreates the animated film, proving that “it’s better, down where it’s wetter, under the sea.” With the use of colorful puppets, live performers, special effects, and movie clips, the show continues to enchant guests and perform swimmingly each day.
