When Mr. Mouse Takes a Trip opens, we see Mickey at a train depot, at the Burbank, California home of the Disney Studios. The happy-go-lucky mouse is ready to board a train with his pup pal, Pluto, until the conductor, that dastardly Pete, literally kicks the duo to the ground, proclaiming, “No dogs allowed!” Sneaking his faithful friend back onboard, Mickey is finally en route to his final destination, Pomona, California, but not without further entanglements courtesy of Pete. Walt Disney provided the voice of Mickey, and Billy Bletcher voiced Pete. With his gruff, bass voice, he was the perfect villain to taunt cartoon characters, from mice to pigs, including three little ones he tormented so unforgettably when he voiced the Big Bad Wolf.
