Reprising his role from the animated classic Dumbo, Mr. Stork (once again voiced by Sterling Holloway) accidentally delivers a baby lion to an expecting sheep, who calls him, “Laaaaambert,” in the Academy Award®-nominated Lambert the Sheepish Lion, which laaaaanded in theaters on this day in 1952. Obviously different, all of the other lambs laugh and call him names, but when he saves his mother from a hungry wolf, they literally change their tune, singing the praises of “Laaaambert, the sheepish lion,” causing his mother to beam with “pride.”
