Dumb Bell of the Yukon

Dumb Bell of the Yukon Premieres

Every now and then, Donald Duck has a tremendous lapse of judgment, and that is the case in 1964’s Dumb Bell of the Yukon, the 65th Donald Duck cartoon. Donald is indeed quite the dumb bell, when he decides the best way to get a fur for his sweetheart, Daisy, is to kidnap a bear cub with the hopes of turning the adorable little bruin into a fur coat. When the mother bear gets wind of this, she makes it unBEARable for our main duck. But, have no fear, mother and cub are reunited in a sweet ending when honey spills on Donald’s head and mother and cub have a tasty treat licking it off our “fowl” tempered hero. Oh, and incidentally, no animals were harmed in the filming of this animated short.
