Animated television series Bonkers premiered on The Disney Channel on February 28, 1993. The show was introduced by a syndicated two-hour special, Going Bonkers. The character had been introduced in segments in Raw Toonage in the fall of 1992. Bonkers D. Bobcat becomes an off-the-wall, wildly enthusiastic recruit for the Hollywood Police Department—Toon Division. With his gruff, streetwise human partner, Detective Lucky Piquel, Bonkers tracks down cartoon criminals. Providing the voices are Jim Cummings (Bonkers, Piquel), Nancy Cartwright (Fawn Deer), and Frank Weller (Fall Apart Rabbit).
