Fans! Together! STRONG! D23: The Official Disney Fan club ushered in the reign of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes with a special D23 fan event and advance screening at Disney Springs on Wednesday, May 8. This was an exceptional evening of epic proportions, and we were thrilled to showcase this feature for D23 Members before it opened to the general public, exclusively in theaters!
To start their experience off, D23 Members could enjoy a special reception at the picturesque Stargazers Bar, located at Planet Hollywood in Disney Springs. This peaceful outdoor location provided sweeping views of the landing and waterfront of Disney Springs, while also paying homage to a pivotal scene in the film between Noa and Mae. Members could also enjoy a fajita bar, pasta bar and dessert bar, all paired with an open bar for drinks! To beat the heat, fans could order an “Ape-rol Spritz” for a refreshing option with the coolest theme! Members could also snap photos with a D23 15th Anniversary photo opportunity and mingle with fellow members at Stargazers Bar.
Following the reception, it was time to enjoy the immersive adventure of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes at Disney Springs. On their walk to the theater, D23 Members could catch a glimpse at special themed elements adorning the exterior of the theater. With vines hanging from the edges of the building, one could almost feel like they were already in the nature-reclaimed landscape that is the setting of the movie! And the symbol of Caesar was strongly rendered with red banners featuring the insignia, beckoning onlookers toward the theater. There were even special photo opportunities on both sides of the theater, allowing any moviegoers to feel a part of this fantastic feature.
Upon checking in at AMC Disney Springs 24 Dine-In, D23 Members received a voucher for both popcorn and a drink, along with a special poster that showcased the date of their early screening. Once snacks and seats were selected, it was time for the reign to begin. D23 Members were transported to the awe-inspired world of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, diving into a thrilling adventure with sweeping visuals and sensational storytelling! We can’t wait to catch this movie on the big screen again, as soon as possible!
