D23 and the Walt Disney Archives presented a film from the time of Disney’s package pictures of the 1940s and took D23 Members from “nowhere in particular” to the spooky town of Sleepy Hollow: The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. Every guest in attendance received an exclusive gift to commemorate the occasion.
Before the film, fans enjoyed a special presentation from Disney historian Mindy Johnson, who has worked extensively with the Bing Crosby Archive. She spoke about Crosby’s experience narrating The Legend of Sleepy Hollow—the legendary actor/singer’s only Disney work. Plus, Walt Disney Archives director Becky Cline introduced a song that was cut from The Wind in the Willows and performed live by the Melo-D23 Choir!
