Best friends of all kinds arrived in Hollywood, California on August 8, 2016, for the world premiere of Disney’s Pete’s Dragon! During the star-studded evening, a limited number of D23 Gold Members had the opportunity to line the “green carpet” outside the El Capitan Theatre to see the arrival of stars from the latest Disney film—including Bryce Dallas Howard, Wes Bentley, and Oakes Fegley!
Throughout the evening, fans were able to say hello to the stars as they passed, and some even stopped for a photo or autograph. Auli’i Cravalho, the voice of the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios film Moana, took a special moment at her first premiere to spend time with some very excited D23 Members.
During the world premiere, D23 had the chance to ask Bryce Dallas Howard about her favorite Disney animals. As one would expect, Elliot was at the very top of the list. “Any characters that provide a lot of innocence to the story are always the characters I love the most.”
Following the green carpet, members had the opportunity to attend the premiere screening of Pete’s Dragon inside the El Capitan Theatre!
