Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Season 2 Premiere Date and Guest Cast Revealed

Season 2 of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, the continuation of the Emmy® Award-winning series Wizards of Waverly Place, will premiere with two episodes on Friday, September 12, at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Disney Channel and Disney Channel On Demand. All episodes will be available on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets on Wednesday, October 8.

Executive producer Selena Gomez will guest star as Alex Russo. Additional guest stars include ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires star Freya Skye as Piper, Harvey Guillén as Gossip Stone, Kirsten Vangsness as Bigelow McFigglehorn, Recker Eans as Quentin, Tobias Jelinek as Lord Morsus, Patrick Bristow as Wiz M.D., and Eleanor Sweeney as Bella Bianchi.

From Disney Branded Television, Season 2 will deliver a dose of nostalgia with the return of iconic characters from Wizards of Waverly Place, including Mr. Laritate (Bill Chott) and Mantooth (Sean Whalen). Amanda Tepe, known for her many memorable roles throughout the original series, will also make a special appearance in the Christmas-themed episode.

In Season 2, Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) grapples with the fact that being part of the Russo family might be more complicated than she thought — especially now that she’s not the only wizard in the house. Now that Roman (Alkaio Thiele) and Milo (Max Matenko) both have new magical powers, Justin (David Henrie) is tasked with training three young wizards for the Family Wizard Competition. As the stakes rise inside and outside the family, a mysterious new threat emerges—one that could unravel the Russos forever.

Writers Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas executive produce the series along with Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Gomez, and Henrie. Wizards of Waverly Place was created by Todd Greenwald.

All episodes from Season 1 are currently available to stream on Disney+.
