On February 29, 2004, the 76th Academy Awards® were held at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California. It is here that screenwriter and director Andrew Stanton accepted the award for Best Animated Feature for Finding Nemo, the Disney·Pixar animated feature about a small clown fish that is captured and his father’s adventure to save him. The film was also nominated for its score (Thomas Newman), but lost to The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (Howard Shore).
