Remember the days before computers, when those who got a virus meant they had a cold? That’s what Goofy’s alter-ego George Geef has to battle in Cold War, released on this day in 1951. Despite the fact that the virus infecting George is quite cute, George is miserable and leaves work early. Soon Mrs. Geef arrives home to help nurse her husband back to health and send that virus on its way… complete with knapsack. But alas, when George returns to work, he ends up opening the window and catching a draft, reminded by his boss that “a cold is nothing to sneeze at.”
