Enjoy Classic Disney Songs Performed in ASL for Disability Pride Month!

By Sarah Sterling

Celebrate Disability Pride Month this July by enjoying beautiful renditions of some of your favorite Disney songs performed in ASL (American Sign Language)! Disney Music has curated a playlist of performances by Deaf artists, nationally certified ASL interpreters, and coalitions like the Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness, Inc., and Deaf West Theatre.

Deaf West Theatre describes themselves as “a group that engages artists and audiences in unparalleled theatre and media experiences inspired by Deaf culture and the expressive power of sign language, weaving ASL with spoken English to create a seamless ballet of movement and voice.” This is certainly true of these inspiring music videos!

Please enjoy “How Far I’ll Go” (originally performed by Auli’i Cravalho) from Walt Disney Animation Studio’s Moana, as performed by Sarah Tubert in collaboration with the Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness:
