Disneyland Resort Unveils Two More Disneyland After Dark Themed Nights
This spring, guests will be able to journey into yesteryear and venture to a galaxy far, far away—as Disneyland After Dark brings two more themed “nites” and more fun to Disneyland Resort! As recently announced by Disney Parks Blog, Disneyland After Dark: Throwback Nite will be held on April 18 and 20, while Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite is set for May 2, 4 (that’s May the Fourth, Star Wars Day!), 8, and 11…
At these popular after-hours Disneyland Park shindigs, guests will enjoy themed entertainment, beloved Disney characters, one-of-a-kind photo opportunities, specialty menu items, merchandise, and make memories to last a lifetime.
For Disneyland After Dark: Throwback Nite, don some fave flashback fashions for the after-hours soiree inspired by the ’50s and ’60s! Take a trip down memory lane to relive Disney’s classic past with music, food, and entertainment that pay tribute to the first decade of Disneyland Park. Mickey Mouse and his friends will sport retro outfits, along with visits from some nostalgic characters, while a Fantasy in the Sky nighttime spectacular will give a nod to the same-named fireworks display that first lit up the night at Disneyland Park in 1957.
Meanwhile, for Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite, guests will thrill to the sights and sounds of Star Wars: Celebrate the Nite, as fireworks illuminate the Disneyland skies. Over in Tomorrowland, Captain Phasma and her Stormtroopers will make their March of the First Order as they search for a Resistance spy. And guests can bring out their inner Jedi with lightsaber instructional demonstrations…

Inside the Making of Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney Community
Just a few hours outside of Los Angeles, in the scenic desert of Rancho Mirage, California, the very first Storyliving by Disney community is starting to come to life.
Walt Disney Imagineers are collaborating with industry-expert developers, architects, and builders to create Cotino community—a place where people can write the next chapter of their lives… and it’s all in a place near and dear to Walt Disney himself, who would often retreat to the greater Palm Springs area to reignite his imagination.
This week, the Disney Parks Blog offered up a peek behind the curtain of Cotino community in a special four-part video series, “The Story Behind the Making of Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community.” Viewers will hear from some of the Imagineers working on Cotino community throughout the series and learn what inspires them about this truly unique project.
In the first installment, creative director Amy Young shares how the concept of a “creative oasis” is becoming a reality at Cotino. Future installments will include “Setting the Stage,” “Magic is in the Details,” and “The Big Idea.”
Go Under the Sea with Brand-New The Little Mermaid Trailer
It’s almost time to be part of her world once again: The Little Mermaid, visionary filmmaker Rob Marshall’s live-action reimagining of Disney’s Oscar®-winning animated musical classic, just revealed a brand-new trailer this week—and it takes us even further under the sea than before…
The film follows the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters, and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea—and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land, but ultimately places her life—and her father’s crown—in jeopardy.
The Little Mermaid stars Halle Bailey as Ariel, Daveed Diggs as the voice of Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay as the voice of Flounder, Awkwafina as the voice of Scuttle, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Art Malik as Sir Grimsby, and Noma Dumezweni as Queen Selina—with Oscar winner Javier Bardem as King Triton and two-time Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.

(In 2020, Mahomes joined Disney’s football tradition when he visited Walt Disney World Resort after his first Big Game win.)
Mahomes, his wife Brittany, daughter Sterling Skye, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, first posed in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park before taking a spin on the brand-new attraction Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. The quarterback later joined Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their pals in a celebratory cavalcade, as he waved to fans along the parade route down Main Street, U.S.A., capping off the magical day.
