Jolly Holiday: The Most Wonderful D23 Celebration of the Year

By The D23 Team

We recently celebrated the most wonderful time of the year with our D23: The Official Disney Fan Club Members during “A Jolly Holiday on the Lot.” Holiday cheer was in the crisp winter air at The Walt Disney Studios lot as fans’ smiles lit up beneath the night sky.

Upon check-in, all guests received a D23 event-exclusive ornament featuring Princess Tiana celebrating 15 years of The Princess and the Frog, shoelaces courtesy of Hulu, and a pack of Disney Lorcana cards from our friends at Ravensburger.

Guests were also invited into the magical winter scene by a towering 32-foot tree to celebrate the spirit of Christmas, two glowing menorahs to honor Hanukkah, and a beautifully lit kinara to share warm wishes for Kwanzaa. Around every corner, there was a new moment of holiday magic to explore. Familiar Disney friends including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Chip & Dale, and Santa Goofy were around to ring in the cheerful season. Jack and Sally from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, presented by Disney+, also made a special appearance to spread joy for all fans. Of course, Santa Claus himself stopped by to hear the wishes of children of all ages, ready to bring their wish lists back to the North Pole.

Holiday marketplace vendors lined the streets of Dopey Drive and Mickey Avenue, offering gifts perfect for those on the nice list this year. Additionally, The Walt Disney Company Store was open with special studio lot items, and the Disney Studio Store contained festive Disney Parks merchandise. Meanwhile, fans could enjoy free airbrush tattoos, coloring sheets courtesy of Disney Branded Television, craft-making hosted by The Walt Disney Family Museum, balloon art, cookie decorating, spin art, caricatures, and a “learn how to play Disney Lorcana” station from the experts at Ravensburger throughout the evening. The Walt Disney Archives displayed an array of costumes from classic Disney holiday films and Disney Park Parades, including an elf from The Santa Clause and a reindeer from Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

For guests age 21 and over, the Holiday Corner of Cheer Bar served up a variety of festive, holiday-inspired cocktails, while Starbucks provided delightful treats and beverages for everyone to enjoy. The fun continued with carnival games, where guests tested their skills to win prizes such as Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas socks, a The Boy & The Octopus ornament, an Inside Out 2 water bottle, and more. Guests snacked on provided popcorn, cotton candy, and candied apples while being entertained by live acts, including the Blow Brass Brand, MeloD23 Choir, a magician, and an elf juggling on a unicycle! DJ Clark at Pluto’s Corner had everyone dancing and kept the energy high with Disney trivia, challenging D23 Members to showcase their knowledge for exciting sponsored prizes.

The Disney Ultimate Toy Drive, supporting Toys for Tots, transformed Disney Legends Plaza into a magical winter wonderland. Guests enjoyed festive photo opportunities, created bookmarks, and participated in a heartwarming toy collection for Toys for Tots. It was truly inspiring to see so many D23 Members generously donate toys and support such an incredible cause.

To our wonderful D23 Members, thank you for joining us at “A Jolly Holiday on the Lot”! It was a joy celebrating the season with you, and we’re sending our warmest holiday wishes your way. If you’re still on the hunt for the perfect gift, don’t miss our D23-exclusive merchandise—ideal for any Disney fan.
