D23 Gold Mem-bears had a knee-slappin', good ol' time on Saturday, July 13, as they gathered in Grizzly Hall to get a sneak peek of Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park! Before the curtain lifted, visitors enjoyed a fur-tastic opening act: emcee Kevin Kern from the Walt Disney Archives; his Archives pal Steven Vagnini; and Country Bear Musical Jamboree producer Ken Ricci. Vagnini and Ricci shared their excitement about the Country Bears' brand-new production, and also spoke about its huge paw-print on Disney’s legacy.
Once this entertaining preshow was over, the Bears—after months of rehearsing—were ready to debut their new Country Bear Musical Jamboree... D23 Gold Mem-bears put their paws together in a round of applause, and it was officially showtime!
Fans had a blast watching the Country Bears ensemble they know and love strummin’ up some countryfied Disney tunes. D23 Mem-bears were tappin’ their toes and singin’ out the tunes throughout the whole show! The show even includes two new, original songs for everyone to enjoy... By the end, the crowd was hootin’ and hollerin’, wishin’ for an encore. The Country Bears really brought their bear-y best to the stage, making it paws-ibly their greatest show yet.
We reckon the Country Bears enjoyed havin’ y’all in Grizzly Hall—and are already lookin’ forward to seein’ ya again. So, next time you swing by, make sure to bring your whole pack—cubs and all—for this here family gatherin’.
The Country Bears were so tickled pink that D23 Gold Mem-bears joined them, that they made sure attendees got their claws on three bear-y some special gifts: a lithograph of Jody Daily’s incredible art for the attraction; a print of the album artwork from Disney Music Group (look for the Country Bear Musical Jamboree album now streaming wherever you get your music!); and a guitar pick featuring the reimagined attraction’s opening date!
