It’s not very often we get to glimpse into the acorn-sized world of Chip and Dale without it revolving around Donald’s garden or Pluto’s dog house. But this animated short starring Disney’s two high-spirited chipmunks goes out on a limb and directly into their hollowed-out tree. The short begins with Chip and Dale, both getting ready for bed in their caps and robes. But once they’ve tricked each other into thinking they are asleep, they sneak out, pull off their robes and hats and reveal a debonair tuxedo and top hat. Both of them have been invited to a nightclub in the city by Clarice, a dazzling songstress with long eyelashes and a sultry voice. And much to their surprise, when they arrive at the Acorn Club together, they learn Clarice has something in mind for both of them. As her band mates — Chip on piano and Dale on bass — they play accompaniment to her gorgeous, alluring charm.
