Disney’s Sing Me A Story: With Belle Debuts in Syndication

A live-action version of Belle (Lynsey McLeod) from Beauty and the Beast was the star of the children’s television series Disney’s Sing Me A Story: With Belle, which debuted in syndication on this day in 1995. In each episode, Belle, along with new puppet friends Harmony the talking cat, Big Book and bookworms Lewis and Carroll, would spend time together in her enchanting Book and Music Shop, where they would also enjoy the company of some local children. Of course Belle, who always loved reading, now enjoys sharing stories with her guests, which was portrayed with video of classic animated shorts, while Belle would retell the story through song.
